Aztec Mythology
Aztec mythology is the set of legends of Central Mexican Aztec civilization. The Aztecs were Nahuatl-speaking groups living in central Mexico and many are similar to other Mesoamerican cultures. They are also very popular. According to legend, from north into the Anahuac valley, around Lake Texcoco, the various groups which were to be Aztecs came. The place of this valley and the reservoir–the core of the modern city of Mexico–is evident, yet little is known for sure of the Aztec’s origin. The reports of its origin are distinct.
